Meetings:
The first Friday night meeting is generally a speaker night. On this night, we try to have a guest speaker on different mental health subjects. On the third Friday, we have peer-support group meetings. We divide into 2 groups, friends & family of consumers and a mental health consumer (patients) group.
After the meeting is over we encourage our members to stay and meet each other and visit. We generally have water and snacks for your enjoyment. Everything is paid for by tax free donations. All meetings are free. We also have free literature on mental health issues. For a recorded message call 817-654-7100.
Nursing students please contact us before attending so we will have an idea as to how many will be attending.
Coming on Interstate 30, one would take the Summit (north) and 8th Ave. (south) exit and go south on 8th Ave. to Baylor's parking garage. Self parking is free. Magnolia Street runs right into the hospital entrance and parking area. Also from I35W take the Rosedale exit heading west to 8th Ave. and turn left go to Baylor on the right side.
Enter Baylor All Saints at Andrews Women’s Hospital or the Main hospital entrance. From these entrances turn right, go to towards Building A and look for the Faxel Room sign. The room # A1122 is located at the end of the hallway on the right side after the door to Guest Relations.
In case of severe weather, check with the web sites of Channel 8 and Channel 5 for closing.
